Porsche KS-R, Black with Red Stripes

Seen side on, the Porsche KS-R keeps the silhouette of the classic air-cooled 911 coupé, with its upright windscreen, round headlamps and impact bumpers, but almost every surface below the waistline has been pushed outwards. The rear arches swell over wide tyres with a vent cut ahead of each wheel, the front arches are flared to match, and a wide flat spoiler stands proud of the engine lid. The rear is the most theatrical part. Below a red light bar spelling out PORSCHE, two turbochargers with green filters sit in plain view on either side of the exhaust, the plumbing left on show as if the bumper had been taken off for the track.

Runner paints this version in deep gloss black with two orange-red stripes that run from the front bumper over the bonnet, roof and spoiler to the tail, where they turn down across the engine cover. Silver cross-spoke wheels with red calipers lighten the look, and the louvred rear window shows orange through the glass. The turbos, pipework and filters underneath are modelled in silver and green. The car sits on a white leather base with orange stitching, its brushed plaque carrying the Runner logo and the edition, one of 30. It is a resin model, built at 1:18.
