Porsche DLS, Orange & Yellow

The shape of the DLS was worked out with computational fluid dynamics and with help from Norbert Singer, the Porsche Motorsport engineer whose name Singer Vehicle Design already honoured. Against a standard 964, the car gained larger wheel arches, air outlets in the tail lamps, a rear diffuser and wing, and a number of new air scoops. The body is all carbon fibre. Underneath, the suspension was made lighter, with better geometry and more adjustment, and the 18-inch wheels are forged in magnesium by BBS Motorsport, on Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres made for the car. Williams Advanced Engineering developed it with Singer, and its 4.0-litre flat-six makes 500 hp.

This one is a bright orange with a pair of yellow stripes running over the front lid, the roof and the ducktail. Yellow bands also run along the sills and around both bumpers, framing the PORSCHE script on each side. The Fuchs-style wheels are silver with dark centres and centre-lock nuts, and the cabin is black. Singer script sits on the ducktail above a mesh rear panel, two outer tailpipes and a black diffuser. The car stands on a pale suede-finish base with a card plaque. Make Up builds it at 1:18.
