The Weissach package on the 992 GT3 RS is an extra-cost option that goes after weight and adds carbon. The front lid, roof, parts of the rear wing and the mirror shells get a carbon-weave finish; the front and rear anti-roll bars, rear coupling rods and rear axle shear panel are made of CFRP; and a CFRP rollover bar saves about 6 kg over steel. The PDK shift paddles use magnet technology from motorsport, and forged magnesium wheels can be added to save another 8 kg or so. Even with its larger aero parts the car weighs 1,450 kg. Inside, four rotary controls and a DRS button on the steering wheel let the driver adjust damping and the rear differential in Track mode, with the settings shown graphically on the instrument cluster.
This example is in a light metallic blue, with a bare carbon panel down the centre of the bonnet, a dark roof and carbon mirror caps. Black GT3 RS script runs along the sills, the louvred front arches and sideblades are finished in body colour, and the tall wing stands on clear supports. The wheels are silver cross-spoke rims over yellow brake calipers, and GT3 RS plates are fitted front and rear. It sits on a carbon-pattern base. It is built at 1:18.
