Porsche first showed the 918 Spyder as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The production car followed at Frankfurt in September 2013, and building began on 18 September that year. Porsche limited it to 918 cars, which had sold out by December 2014 at about €781,000 in Europe and $845,000 in the United States, and the last were built in June 2015. The finished car kept the concept's layout: a 4.6-litre V8 mounted behind the cabin, whose design came from the RS Spyder race car, with two electric motors, all-wheel drive and a 7-speed PDK gearbox. Porsche quoted 0 to 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds.
This example is in GT Silver Metallic, with body-coloured mirrors and fine multi-spoke wheels in dark grey with polished faces, behind which sit lime-green calipers. An e-hybrid script sits on each front wing, the roll hoops behind the seats are in silver, and the engine deck shows dark carbon around its two exhaust outlets. At the rear a slim light strip runs across the diffuser. The car stands on a pale suede base with a card plaque. Make Up builds it at 1:18.
