The 993 was the last of the air-cooled 911s, and the Turbo S of 1997 was its hardest edge: a twin-turbo flat-six driving all four wheels, hand-assembled in small numbers as a send-off to a 34-year lineage. Its era is clear in the details: the round headlamps faired into the wings, the fixed whale-tail with its secondary lip, the hollow-spoke Turbo wheels, and the "Turbo S" script on the engine lid. It was built for drivers who wanted the analogue 911 at full intensity before water-cooling arrived, and it has only grown more coveted since.
The violet pearl over the bodywork shifts from near-black in shadow to a saturated metallic purple in light, set against silver wheels and the yellow calipers that mark the S. The model holds the 993's compact, planted stance; it is built at 1:18 on a carbon-finish presentation base. A pointed choice for a collection built on the air-cooled cars.
