Singer puts the question behind the DLS plainly: what if the 911 were taken further with knowledge from Formula 1? Its answer, shown in 2018, came through a partnership with Williams Advanced Engineering, and the stated aim, pursued together with its clients, was the most advanced air-cooled 911 in the world. The name, Dynamics and Lightweighting Study, sums up the method. Every body panel is carbon fibre, the wings are widened, the chassis and suspension are reworked, and the flat-six was built in partnership with Hans Mezger. Singer quotes 500 bhp for the 4.0-litre engine, which revs to 9,000 rpm.
Here the car is metallic silver with a deep blue stripe over the bonnet, roof and tail, and blue sill stripes framing a red PORSCHE script, matched by red lettering across the tail. The wheel centres are painted the same blue inside polished rims. The cabin, seen through the glass, is trimmed in dark blue on the bucket seats, door cards and dashboard band, with a carbon centre tunnel and a drilled footrest. Lift the engine lid and the carbon intake carries its Williams Advanced Engineering plate above the fan. The black leather base is finished with white stitching and a plaque marking the car as one of 25. IVY builds it in resin at 1:12.
