Porsche 911 Singer DLS, Red

The cabin of the DLS was treated with the same care as its engine. Recaro made carbon-fibre seats for this car alone, the steering wheel comes from Momo, the gear lever was raised closer to the driver's hand, and the carbon and titanium pedals were drilled to save weight. Bosch recalibrated the ABS, traction and stability control and added selectable driving modes, modern help kept out of sight in a car that still reads as a 964 from the outside. Behind the seats sits the 4.0-litre flat-six Williams developed for it, good for 500 bhp.

This model is a deep metallic red, with a white stripe along the sills and both bumpers, PORSCHE cut into it on the doors and spelled out in white across the tail. The five-spoke centre-lock wheels are silver with gold centre nuts, and the splitter and diffuser are in carbon with a red tint. That red carbon continues inside, where ivory shell seats and door cards meet a red-rimmed steering wheel, a red gear knob and a red roll cage, with the round dials set in a carbon binnacle. The carbon-weave base carries a plaque reading D&C, with the Singer script and Limited Edition, one of 20. It is built at 1:18, in a run of 20 for each colour.
