Porsche 911 Singer DLS, Purple

Singer took two DLS cars to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July 2018, one for display and one for the hillclimb, where Chris Harris drove it up the hill with the 4.0-litre flat-six working to 9,000 rpm. It was later shown in California at the Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca. Reports at the time put the plan at 75 cars, valued at around $1.8 million each, though Singer said no exact price could be given because each commission was different.

This one is a deep metallic purple, with a champagne stripe along the sills that carries the PORSCHE script, and the same word in silver across the tail. The five-spoke centre-lock wheels have champagne spokes, dark centres and gold nuts. Inside, ivory shell seats and door cards sit against carbon on the dashboard, door tops and tunnel, and the roll cage behind them is painted to match the body. At the rear are the DLS plate, the Singer script on the engine grille and twin tailpipes. The carbon-weave base carries a plaque reading D&C, with the Singer script and Limited Edition, one of 20. It is built at 1:18, in a run of 20 for each colour.
