Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer, Light Blue Metallic

The Classic cars have been described as a greatest hits of the 911's history, and many of the hits are small ones. Singer moves the fuel and oil fillers, and on cars like this one the fuel filler sits exposed in the centre of the front bonnet, a homage to the 911s of 1972. The 964's shorter bonnet is replaced by the long one of the early cars, and Fuchs-style wheels complete the period look. Beneath it all is a 964-generation 911, stripped to bare metal and rebuilt with carbon-fibre wings, bumpers, bonnet and engine lid, then trimmed to whatever its owner asks for.

This one pairs a light blue metallic with orange. PORSCHE is lettered in orange inside a paler blue stripe along the sills and again on the engine lid, the five-spoke wheels have orange centres and polished rims, and the cabin is orange too: seats, door cards and lower dashboard beneath a black dash top, with a black three-spoke wheel and the orange-faced rev counter at the centre of the dials. The engine lid lifts to show the flat-six and its six mesh-topped intake trumpets against orange trim in the engine bay. It stands on a black base edged and stitched in orange, and the plaque carries the Singer Vehicle Design signature and the edition, one of 30. IVY builds it at 1:12.
