No two Singers are alike, because the owner writes the specification. The basic choices come first: coupé or Targa, rear or four-wheel drive, and a flat-six of 3.6, 3.8 or 4.0 litres. Then the detail follows, down to paint, leather and instruments, and every finished car is given its own commission name. Underneath, the recipe stays constant: a 964-generation 911 taken back to bare metal and rebuilt with carbon-fibre panels, larger brakes and adjustable suspension, wearing the long bonnet of the early cars.
This commission pairs a gunmetal grey metallic with a full orange cabin, and it is set up like a rally car. Four driving lamps stand across the bonnet around the filler cap, and inside, the orange covers the seats, door cards, dashboard and steering wheel rim and carries on over a roll cage behind the seats. PORSCHE is lettered in black between twin stripes along the sills, the polished eight-spoke wheels show red calipers behind them, and the mirrors and headlamp rings are chrome. The engine lid lifts on the flat-six with its six mesh-topped intake trumpets, and an orange-faced rev counter sits at the centre of the dials. It stands on a carbon-patterned base, and the plaque carries the Singer Vehicle Design signature and the edition, one of 30. IVY builds it at 1:12.
