Porsche 911 Gunther Werks 400R, Mint Green

Gunther Werks treated the cabin of the 400R as part of each commission, with the owner choosing materials and colours. The fixed points are carbon bucket seats, a five-gauge instrument layout across the dashboard and a carbon parcel shelf, with no rear seats. The rest of the car follows the same thinking: carbon fibre for every panel except the doors, a 4.0-litre air-cooled flat-six of more than 400 hp built by Rothsport, a Getrag G50 six-speed manual gearbox and a production run of 25, all based on the 993.

This example is painted a soft mint green with no stripes or side lettering, so the shape does the work: the widened arches, the vent in the bonnet and the fixed rear wing. The five-spoke wheels are dark gunmetal, and PORSCHE is lettered in black across the engine lid above a Gunther Werks plate and twin central tailpipes. A full-width red light bar crosses the tail. The cabin is bright orange, from the seat centres to the dashboard and door trim, set against carbon seat shells and a carbon dashboard top.
