The 400R is a 993-generation Porsche 911 rebuilt by Gunther Werks in Southern California, and its engine is where much of the work went. The standard 3.6-litre flat-six gives way to a 4.0-litre air-cooled unit developed by Rothsport, with new pistons, new engine management and individual throttle bodies, for more than 400 hp and 447 Nm, a gain of 130 hp. It revs to 7,800 rpm and drives the rear wheels through a reworked Getrag G50 manual gearbox with a single-mass flywheel, an uprated single-plate clutch and a new differential. The exhaust silencer is borrowed from a 997 GT3. Gunther Werks showed the car at The Quail in Monterey in August 2017 and planned 25.

This one is painted a deep magenta, close to raspberry, with a pink stripe along the sills carrying PORSCHE in white. The wheels are dark gunmetal five-spokes with crested centres, a carbon splitter runs under the nose, and the rear wing, the front lid vent and the twin tailpipes are all in place. Inside, the cabin is black with pink stripes across the seats. The car stands on a black base faced in carbon weave, with a plaque that reads Timothy & Pierre, Gunther Werks 400R and Limited Edition, one of 20. Timothy & Pierre builds it at 1:18, in an edition of 20.
