Brumos Racing, the team from Jacksonville in Florida, won the 24 Hours of Daytona on 3 and 4 February 1973 with a Porsche 911 Carrera RSR carrying the number 59. Peter Gregg and Hurley Haywood shared the car, covered 670 laps and finished 22 laps clear of the Ferrari in second place, and Brumos won the race four times in all. The RSR was the racing version of the 1973 Carrera RS, built with a 2,808 cc flat-six of 312 PS, and its purpose shows in the body: arches flared over wide wheels, a ducktail on the engine lid and a large oil-cooler grille in the nose.

This model wears the Brumos colours: white, with broad red and blue stripes over the bonnet and along both flanks, black 59s on white roundels on the bonnet and doors, and a larger 59 across the tail. Garrard lettering runs along the doors and across the front apron, which adds Record Players below the grille, and there are Kendall GT-1 and Union 76 decals. Auxiliary lamps flank the oil-cooler grille, the five-spoke Fuchs-pattern wheels wear Goodyear tyres, and an aerial rises from the roof. It is shown on a black gloss plinth, raised on posts, and built at 1:18.
