Every Singer Classic Study begins as a Porsche 964, the 911 generation that arrived in 1989 and that Porsche considered 85 per cent new compared with the Carrera 3.2. The 964 brought the first major engineering changes since the original 911: coil springs in place of torsion bars, with power steering and ABS added for the first time. It also had a 3.6-litre flat-six of 250 PS and an electric rear spoiler that rose above 80 km/h. Singer keeps that chassis and covers it in bodywork that looks back to the early cars, largely carbon fibre, with a longer bonnet and relocated filler caps. Prices start above $475,000, and examples have sold at auction for well over $1 million.
Here the body is ivory white, with grey PORSCHE script on the sill band and pale grey lettering across the tail beneath a 911 badge. The front lid carries its central filler cap, and the headlamps sit in chrome bezels. At the rear, chrome overriders frame a PORSCHE plate panel, with twin tailpipes below and a polished grille on the engine lid. The wheels are Fuchs-style five-spokes with grey centres and polished rims, and the cabin is black. It stands on a black textile base with a red edge and an angled black plaque. Make Up builds it at 1:18.
