The Zonda Revolución grew out of the Zonda R, the track-only Zonda first shown at the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. The R shared only 10 per cent of its parts with the Zonda F and used a 6.0-litre V12 taken from the racing version of the Mercedes CLK GTR. Pagani planned five R Evolution cars as an update, but only the R prototype was converted, and that chassis later became a Revolución and stayed at the factory. The Revolución itself was the final version of the R: a carbon-titanium tub brought the weight down to 1,070 kg, and the V12 was taken to 800 PS and 730 Nm, or 758 PS per tonne. Five were built, besides the prototype.
H&H shows it in bare carbon all over, the lacquered weave reading grey in the light. The gold multi-spoke wheels are the brightest thing on the car, along with green, white and red flashes on the edges of the front arches and a PAGANI banner across the top of the windscreen. The tail is open: under the central fin and the wing, the four exhaust pipes stand on their frame between mesh grilles, one carrying Black Marion script and the other Zonda Revolución. There are red details in the cabin, and the car sits on a black suede base whose plaque reads Zonda Revolución. H&H builds it at 1:18.
