The Zonda F is built around a Mercedes-AMG engine: a 60 degree V12 of 7,291 cc with 48 valves, mounted lengthways behind the cabin and driving the rear wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox and a self-locking differential. In the coupé it gave 602 PS at 6,150 rpm, and Pagani puts 54 per cent of the weight over the rear wheels. When the Roadster F followed at Geneva in 2006, output went up to 650 PS. Pagani named the car for Juan Manuel Fangio and built 25 coupés.
This one is in red-tinted carbon, the weave showing through deep red lacquer, with a band of grey carbon running down the centre of the nose and back along the spine, and darker carbon on the sills and diffuser. A small Italian flag sits in each mirror housing, and pink calipers show behind the polished wheels. The cabin is pink throughout: seats, door panels, dashboard, headlining and the grips of the wood-rimmed steering wheel, with the Pagani name across the rear bulkhead. The V12 can be seen through a clear engine cover. It stands on an orange base with an ostrich grain, and the carbon plaque reads ivy Supreme, Pagani Zonda F, Limited Edition, one of 10.
