When the Zonda F appeared at the Geneva Motor Show in 2005, the quickest way to tell it from the earlier Zondas was its face. Each front cluster gained an extra headlight, and the fog lamps in the lower grille were rearranged. Under the skin it kept the Zonda layout of a mid-mounted Mercedes-AMG V12, here of 7,291 cc, with carbon-ceramic brakes developed with Brembo on the options list. Pagani limited the car to 25 examples, and a year later showed the Roadster F at Geneva, also limited to 25.
The paint on this one shifts with the light: violet across the bonnet, magenta where the curves catch the lamps, teal along the doors. It is laid over dark exposed carbon on the sills, splitter and tail, where the Zonda F nameplate sits below the four round exhausts. Gold ESSER lettering runs along each sill beneath a small script badge. Inside, the cabin is red and black, with red seats and black quilted centres, red door inserts and a wood-rimmed steering wheel with black grips in front of the polished centre console. The V12 shows through a clear engine cover. It stands on an orange base with an ostrich grain, and the carbon plaque reads ivy Supreme, Pagani Zonda F, Limited Edition, one of 10.
