Mercedes-Benz and McLaren were Formula 1 partners when they built the SLR: a front-mid-engined grand tourer with a supercharged 5.4-litre V8, side-exit exhausts breathing through the flanks, and a long carbon nose that nods to the 300 SLR racers of the 1950s. The 722 Edition sharpened the concept: stiffer suspension, larger brakes, a deeper front splitter and the 19-inch turbine wheels seen here, the name borrowing Stirling Moss's winning start number from the 1955 Mille Miglia. Shown in full exposed carbon weave with red calipers behind black turbines, the gullwing-derived proportions and that endless bonnet read exactly as intended: a road car built by people who thought like racers.

The exposed carbon is laid up panel by panel across the body, the weave kept consistent through the curve of the wing vents and the long deck, with the 722 script on the wings and the side exhausts picked out cleanly. IVY presents it at 1:18 on a tan leather-look base.
