Mercedes-Benz S 65 L, Riviera Blue

The S 65 was the W222 S-Class at its most quietly excessive: a long-wheelbase limousine carrying AMG's hand-built 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12, the badge on the front wing stating BITURBO without ceremony. Where the S 63 chased lap times, the S 65 was about effortless reach: more than 600 horsepower and a wall of torque delivered so smoothly it disappeared, wrapped in a body that looked like any other chauffeur-driven S-Class until the eye caught the deeper front apron, the quad tailpipes and the discreet S 65 L script on the boot. It was the car for someone who could have anything and chose the one nobody else would clock.

This example wears Riviera Blue, a pale silver-blue metallic that shifts towards ice in the light and reads as restrained rather than showy across the long flanks. The polished multi-spoke AMG wheels and the chrome window surrounds are picked out cleanly against the soft paint, and the whole thing sits on a black leather presentation base. H&H build it at 1:18.
