Mercedes-Benz introduced the latest revision of the G-Class on 26 March 2024, and with it a new internal code, W465. Production began the following month. The shape barely changed, but the engineering did: the petrol and diesel versions now carry a 48-volt hybrid system. In the G 63 the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, rated at 430 kW, gains a further 15 kW and 200 Nm of electrical assistance, and the car reaches 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. It follows the second-generation W463 of 2018, which kept the old silhouette while heavily revising the chassis, powertrain, body and interior beneath it.
This model is finished in Hyper Blue Magno, a matte blue, under a gloss white roof. The black grille with its vertical slats and central star, the AMG plates front and rear, the round headlamps and the indicator pods on top of the front wings are all in place, and a chrome ring frames the blue spare-wheel cover on the tailgate beside the G 63 badge. Grey multi-spoke wheels show red brake callipers, chrome running boards line the sills, twin side exhausts sit ahead of the rear wheels, and the car stands on a carbon-pattern base. It is built at 1:18.
