Built to satisfy the FIA GT Championship's homologation rule, the Mercedes-Benz CLK-GTR was a Le Mans prototype wearing a road-car silhouette: a carbon-fibre monocoque, a V12 amidships, and just enough of the road CLK's face grafted on to make it legal. In 1997, AMG-Mercedes ran it in this silver Warsteiner livery and walked away with the championship, Bernd Schneider and the works team turning the season into a procession. The car here is #11, captured with the period sponsor wall of Warsteiner, Mobil 1 and Bridgestone marks, the towering rear wing and underbody diffuser that did the real work, and that unmistakable three-pointed star pressed into a fully aerodynamic shell.
IVY captures the silver paint and matte-black race graphics cleanly, down to the BBS centre-lock wheels, the caged cockpit and the multi-element rear wing. It sits on a presentation base as IVY renders this championship-winning GT1 at 1:18.
