Mercedes-Benz Brabus 800, Gulf Blue

Brabus was founded in Bottrop in 1977 by Bodo Buschmann and his friend Klaus Brackmann, and takes its name from the first three letters of each surname. It works mainly on Mercedes-Benz, Maybach and Smart cars, buying a specific model and modifying it to the customer's order. The 800 is its version of the Mercedes-AMG G 63. In 2019 Brabus developed an 800 PowerXtra + setup from the AMG 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8: its own turbochargers running 1.6 bar of boost, reworked engine management and a stainless steel exhaust with loud and quiet modes, for 800 hp and 1,000 Nm through a strengthened nine-speed automatic. Brabus quoted 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and a top speed limited to 240 km/h.

This piece wears pale blue and orange Gulf colours, with Gulf roundels on the front doors and an orange stripe over the bonnet and roof. Orange also covers the bumpers, the wheel arch trims, the roof light bar, the roof spoiler and the multi-spoke wheels, and the spare wheel cover is orange with BRABUS pressed into it. The grille carries the Brabus B, BRABUS 800 plates sit front and rear, and side exhausts run below the doors. It stands on a black leather base with white stitching. It is built at 1:18.
