Max Verstappen had long wanted to race the Nürburgring 24 Hours, and in May 2026 he did, in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo entered by Verstappen Racing and run by Winward Racing, sharing the number 3 car with Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon and Dani Juncadella. Through the night Winward's two cars ran first and second, and the number 3 looked set for a clear win until a driveshaft failure in the closing hours ended its chance; the sister number 80 car went on to take the victory. The GT3 Evo itself made its debut at the Nürburgring in 2019, an update of the 2015 AMG GT3 with new headlamps, a better protected grille and quicker aero adjustment around the same 6.2-litre V8.

The model carries the livery in matte blue: the yellow disc and charging bull across the doors behind the number 3, Ravenol and Dekra panels, red geometric patterns over the arches, Gran Turismo across the windscreen, Viaplay on the roof and the drink's slogan along the rear wing. The drivers' names and flags run along the window rail. Black multi-spoke wheels wear Michelin tyres, and a roll cage is visible inside. It stands on a white leather base stitched in red, with a plaque that names the AMG GT3 Evo and gives the edition as 99 pieces. It is built at 1:18.
