Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Black Series, Designo Selenite Grey Magno

Mercedes-AMG revealed the GT Black Series on its YouTube channel on 9 July 2020. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, the M178 LS2, uses a flat-plane crankshaft in place of the usual cross-plane design, revs to 7,200 rpm and makes 730 PS and 800 Nm, with boost raised from the GT R's 1.35 bar to 1.7 bar. The front splitter adjusts by hand, the rear wing carries an active flap, and the car makes more than 400 kg of downforce at 249 km/h. On 4 November 2020 Maro Engel lapped the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 6:43.616, at the time the fastest lap recorded by a road-legal production car.

This piece is finished in designo Selenite Grey Magno, a matte grey, against bare carbon on the bonnet centre and vents, the splitter, the sills, the rear diffuser and the two-tier rear wing. The wheels are black multi-spoke under the widened arches, AMG plates sit front and rear, and four round tailpipes flank the diffuser. The base is white leather with red stitching.
