Built around the W196 grand-prix engineering that carried Mercedes-Benz through the 1955 season, the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupe was Rudolf Uhlenhaut's closed-roof interpretation of the works racing sports car: a fixed gullwing roofline grafted onto a straight-eight competition chassis. Only two were made, and neither raced; Uhlenhaut kept one as his personal company car, famously commuting in a machine that could out-accelerate almost anything on the road. The long nose, the louvred flanks venting the desmodromic eight, the upright fin behind the cabin and the German "D" oval at the tail mark it as a road-registered racing car in everything but purpose. It remains the single most valuable car ever sold at auction, which is why so few will ever see one in person.

The model, built at 1:18, takes the alloy-silver works finish seriously (the matte-leaning bodywork, the delicate wire wheels, the blue cabin glimpsed through the wraparound glass), and it sits on a black presentation base with a name plaque. A quiet object for a collector who already knows the story.
