The MCL39 was the first McLaren that Rob Marshall oversaw as chief designer from the very beginning, built around Mercedes' M16, a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6. It opened the 2025 season at Albert Park on 16 March in light rain. Lando Norris started from pole, kept Max Verstappen behind through intermediate conditions and three safety car periods, and won by 0.895 seconds, while Oscar Piastri lost control in the wet, was briefly beached and recovered to ninth. It was the first of fourteen wins for the car that year, seven for each driver, along with a record 34 podiums. McLaren clinched the constructors' title in Singapore, and Norris took his first drivers' title at the final round in Abu Dhabi.
Amalgam Collection ties its 1:18 MCL39 to that Melbourne race, and this is Norris's number 4 car on green-banded Pirelli intermediates, with wheel covers ringed in Google Chrome's red, yellow, green and blue. The papaya and black livery carries Chrome on the engine cover and OKX on the sidepods, with Dell, Dropbox Dash, DP World, Cisco and Richard Mille lettering all applied at scale. The layered front wing, the halo, the mirrors and the rear wing with its OKX endplates are modelled closely, and the car sits on a gloss black base. Amalgam Collection builds it from castings, photo-etched parts and CNC-machined metal components, at 1:18.
