Lamborghini built the Veneno for its 50th anniversary and showed the coupé at Geneva in 2013, describing it as a racing prototype built for the road. The Roadster followed on 1 December 2013, unveiled on the Italian aircraft carrier Cavour, docked at Mina Zayed port in Abu Dhabi. Nine were built, each specified to its buyer, at €3.3 million before tax. The 6.5-litre V12 is developed from the Aventador's and makes 750 PS at 8,400 rpm, and extra chassis reinforcement made the Roadster about 50 kg heavier than the coupé, at 1,490 kg dry. Its carbon wing sits on an LMP-style central fin, the turbine-style wheels help cool the carbon ceramic brakes, and the rear arches recall the Countach.
This one is in Ivory White with tan leather seats, a black windscreen frame and black detailing in the intakes and side blades. Silver multi-spoke wheels fill the arches. The Y-shaped headlamps, the stepped front intakes and the open lattice of the rear panel above the diffuser fins are all reproduced, with VENENO on the wing and Lamborghini script on the tail. It sits on a black suede base with white stitching and a plaque reading Veneno Roadster. H&H builds it at 1:18.
