Under the Veneno Roadster's bodywork is a carbon-fibre monocoque with aluminium subframes front and rear, and behind the cabin sits the L539 V12, a 6.5-litre development of the Aventador engine. In the Veneno it makes 750 PS at 8,400 rpm and 690 Nm at 5,500 rpm, enough for a quoted 356 km/h and 0 to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds. Taking the roof away meant adding reinforcement to the chassis, so the Roadster weighs 1,490 kg dry against 1,450 kg for the coupé. Lamborghini built the Veneno to celebrate its 50th anniversary: the coupé came first, at Geneva in 2013, and nine Roadsters followed.
This one is painted Grigio Alloy, a pale metallic grey that reads cool blue in the photographs. The lower body, the side intakes and the rear diffuser are black, and the wheels are black multi-spoke designs. Veneno lettering sits on the tall fin that carries the rear wing. The cockpit is open, with cream seats, and the Lamborghini shield appears on the headrests. At the rear, the triangular openings of the grille are framed in body colour above the deep diffuser blades. The car stands on a black suede base with white stitching. H&H builds it at 1:18.
