Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, Diamond Black

Built to mark Lamborghini's fiftieth anniversary, the Veneno Roadster took the brutal aerodynamic language of the Aventador to its furthest extreme: a sharklike nose split by Y-shaped daylight running lamps, vast side venturi channels, and a rear deck that reads more like the underside of a fighter than a road car. Only nine roadsters were built, each one open to the sky with no fixed roof, the 6.5-litre V12 sitting exposed behind the cabin and a fixed wing pinning it to the road. It was never really meant to be sensible; it was Sant'Agata showing what it could do when restraint was set aside.

This example wears Diamond Black, a deep gloss that pools across the faceted bodywork and is traced throughout by fine red pinstriping along the splitter, sills and the dramatic rear diffuser, set against a red cabin. Every air channel and the open engine bay are rendered in full, down to the lettering on the tail. H&H captures it at 1:18 on a presentation base.
