Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, Chrome Gold

Lamborghini built the Veneno to mark its fiftieth anniversary, and the Roadster that followed stripped the roof from an already extreme machine: just nine were made. The shape reads less like a car than a piece of aero theatre, all knife-edge planes, a deep Y-split nose and a tail that dissolves into channels and fins, the open cockpit leaving the V12's intakes and the carbon structure exposed to the sky. It was never meant to be subtle or sensible. It was Sant'Agata answering the question of how far a road-legal Aventador could be pushed before it became something else entirely, sold to a handful of collectors who were never going to drive it gently.

Here it wears a chrome gold over the carbon splitter and diffuser, with thin red rim accents picking up the wheels and the lower lip. The mirror-bright finish exaggerates every crease in the bodywork, which is exactly the point on a car this aggressive. H&H presents it at 1:18 on a black leather-trimmed base.
