Lamborghini named the Revuelto after a Spanish fighting bull that fought in Barcelona's arena in the 1880s, and unveiled it online on 29 March 2023 as the successor to the Aventador. It was the first Lamborghini with a plug-in hybrid drivetrain, and the first cars reached customers in the last quarter of 2023. The design team under Mitja Borkert drew on aerospace ideas: Y-shaped daytime running lights, Y-shaped tail lamps to match, hexagonal exhausts set high between them, scissor doors and an engine bay left fully open to view. Buyers could choose from about 400 exterior paint colours and 70 interior colour combinations, and Lamborghini quotes 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h.
This piece is painted Blu Cielo, a pale sky blue that softens the hard creases of the doors and the sharp nose. The wheels are gloss black, and bare carbon runs along the sills, the front splitter and the rear diffuser, whose fins frame a red centre lamp below the REVUELTO plate. The Y-shaped lamps wrap around the twin hexagonal exhausts. The car sits on a white base with a black plaque carrying the REVUELTO name and the words Limited Edition. It is built at 1:18.
