The Reventón took a Murciélago and dressed it in sharp, faceted bodywork that Lamborghini said was inspired by the fastest aircraft. The coupé was shown at Frankfurt in 2007, and two years later the Roadster followed at the same show. It used the 670 PS V12 of the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, gained extra bracing to make up for the missing roof and a pair of roll hoops that deploy in an instant, and was offered to just 15 customers at 1.1 million euros before taxes. Like most Lamborghinis it carries the name of a fighting bull, in this case one that killed the bullfighter Félix Guzmán in 1943.
This model is finished in a matte metallic purple, a fine flake in the paint catching the light across the angular panels. The arrowhead nose, the triangular headlamp glass and the deep front intakes are sharply cut, the roll hoops stand behind light grey seats, and the black wheels carry the carbon fibre blades of the real car. At the back, a Centro Stile number plate sits between the tail lamps. The engine cover carries a handwritten signature in black pen; it has not been identified or authenticated. The car stands on a carbon-weave base with a black leather-bound edge, built at 1:18.
