Lamborghini marked its 25th year in 1988 with one last revision of the Countach, by then fourteen years in production. The work fell to Horacio Pagani, then an in-house designer at Sant'Agata. He reshaped the front apron and the side sills with deep horizontal strakes and reworked the rear air ducting to cool the engine and brakes better, while the rally champion Sandro Munari had a hand in the suspension and tyres. The 5.2-litre, 48-valve V12 carried over largely unchanged. Lamborghini built 657 of these cars between 1988 and 1990, 205 of them to US specification, and the 25th Anniversary was the last Countach before the Diablo took over.

The model is painted a deep metallic blue, with the rear wing, the mirrors and the straked sills all in body colour, and a pale blue leather cabin seen through the glass. Silver wheels with polished rims sit on Pirelli tyres, the pop-up headlamp covers and the slatted engine air boxes are picked out sharply, and at the back two pairs of exhaust tips sit below the bumper. The black plaque on the red-stitched white leather base lists the specification, a 455 hp V12 at 7,000 rpm, five-speed manual gearbox, 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and 298 km/h, beside the Countach 25 logo and an edition size of 5. It is built at 1:18.
