Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV, Gumball 3000 2016 #56

The Gumball 3000 began in 1999 as a rally from London through Europe and back, and became a yearly week of supercars on public roads. The 2016 edition started in Dublin and finished in Bucharest, with stops in Belfast, Edinburgh, Manchester, London, Prague and Budapest and a final run through Transylvania. This Aventador is dressed as entry 56 for that event: the Gumball 3000 Dublin to Bucharest crest sits on the bonnet and Gumball 3000 runs in gold across the top of the windscreen. Underneath is the LP 750-4 SuperVeloce, announced at Geneva in 2015 with 750 PS, 50 kg less weight than the standard coupé and a run of 600 cars.

The wrap is matte dark grey with every panel edge traced in white, so the car looks as if it has been drawn in outline. A gold 56 sits on each door, surrounded by Shell, Christie's, betsafe, Incase, Marshall Headphones, New Era and D.O.T. decals, with a British 60 JB number plate front and rear and the names John Bailey and Dave Peach beside a Union flag behind the doors. The multi-spoke wheels are black with yellow calipers, and the black cabin has gold details. The model stands on a white leather base with red stitching; its black plaque names the Aventador LP 750-4 SV and reads Limited 04 of 05. It is built at 1:18.
