Lamborghini Aventador LP 720-4 LB Performance 2.0 Roadster, Light Blue

Lamborghini first used the LP 720-4 name in 2013, for the Aventador 50° Anniversario: 720 PS from a recalibrated V12, larger front intakes, a new splitter and a bigger diffuser, in a run of 100 coupés and 100 roadsters. The plaque on this model puts that code under Liberty Walk's 2.0 Roadster treatment. Wataru Kato's company in Nagoya builds its cars wide and low, bolting arch extensions over the original panels with the rivet heads left on show, and here the open Aventador gets a deep splitter with canards, fins ahead of the rear wheels, sills that run between the arches, a diffuser with tall strakes and a wing raised high on two posts.

The model is painted a pale metallic blue that turns almost silver in direct light, set against a dark blue carbon front lid and carbon lower bodywork. LB Performance is lettered in blue along each sill, a large outlined 50 sits on each rear haunch, and the LB monogram appears on the wing endplates. Two-piece multi-spoke wheels with polished lips sit on tyres lettered Pirelli P Zero, and the exhaust tips are ringed in blue. With the roof panels off, the cabin is open to view: white leather seats and blue carbon trim. It stands on a white leather base stitched in red, under a plaque reading LB Performance, Aventador LP 720-4 2.0 Roadster, Chrisphere and Limited 04 of 08. Davis & Giovanni builds it at 1:18.
