Lamborghini turned 50 in 2013 and marked it at the Shanghai Auto Show that April with this Aventador: a limited, numbered series of 100 cars, each carrying a Forged Composite badge with the 50° logo and its own serial number. The V12 gained 20 hp to make 720, which gave the car its LP 720-4 name, and the front and rear were redesigned to improve the aerodynamics. Inside came Q-Citura, a diamond stitch pattern introduced for this edition. The launch colour was new as well. Giallo Maggio, May Yellow, was named for the month in which the company was incorporated in 1963, and it was mixed with an unusually intense glitter.
MR Collection paints the model in that Giallo Maggio, and the flake shows clearly wherever the light falls across the bonnet and doors. The reshaped tail gives the edition away, with a full-width hexagonal mesh between the lamps and the small 50° badge on the rear valance. The headlamps carry their Y-shaped running lights, yellow calipers sit behind gloss black multi-spoke wheels, and the sills and lower body are finished in black. It stands on a carbon-weave base with a black leather-bound edge and MR's plaque at the front. MR Collection builds it at 1:18.
