The P6 was only ever a show car. Pininfarina built it for the 1968 Turin Motor Show as a rolling chassis, laid out for a mid-mounted 3-litre V12 and a five-speed gearbox that were never fitted, because Enzo Ferrari was not yet willing to put the engine behind the driver of a road car. Leonardo Fioravanti was central to the design, and just one was made. It is often seen as the missing link between the Dino 206 and 246 and the Berlinetta Boxer of 1971. Its sharp nose and rectangular lamps previewed the look of Ferraris in the 1970s, while the low bonnet between raised wings and the long, fastback roof gave it a shape of its own. The real car has changed colour more than once, white at Turin, then metallic blue and later grey, before its restoration to white.

This model is finished in silver, which sits well with the metal louvres over the engine bay. The red interior shows clearly through the glass, and each front cluster holds three headlamps behind a clear cover above a fine grille. At the back, red lamp bars flank the FERRARI P.6 badge, and the silver five-spoke wheels match the body. The car stands on a black grained base with a metal plaque reading P6 Prototype 1968 silver, Limited Edition, one of 20. It is built at 1:18.
