Ferrari LaFerrari, Mica Violet

LaFerrari was unveiled at the 2013 Geneva show, and it was styled in house at the Ferrari Styling Centre under Flavio Manzoni, with no input from Pininfarina, a rare break in that long partnership. Underneath is a carbon-fibre monocoque designed by Rory Byrne. Behind the cabin sits a 6.3-litre V12 of 800 PS that revs to 9,000 rpm, helped by a 163 PS HY-KERS hybrid unit for bursts of extra power; together they make 963 PS and 900 Nm. Ferrari built 499 coupés at more than a million euros each, and a 500th car, sold by RM Sotheby's in December 2016 for US$7 million, raised money for earthquake relief.

BBR finishes this one in gloss Mica Violet, a deep metallic purple set against a black roof and black five-spoke wheels. The bonnet vents are open, the yellow Scuderia shields sit on the front wings, and the mirrors stand on thin stalks above the doors. At the back the black carbon diffuser frames the exhaust outlets, with the round red tail lamps and the LaFerrari script across the tail. The car sits on a black leather base edged in red stitching, with a black plaque at the front. BBR builds it at 1:43.
