Ferrari F60 America, White & Blue

The F60 America was Ferrari's gift to the market that arguably built the marque's mythology: built in 2014 to mark sixty years in North America, just ten were made, each spoken for before the covers came off. Underneath sits the F12berlinetta and its 6.3-litre V12, but the roofline is gone entirely, the windscreen cut down to a pair of racing aero deflectors and the cabin trimmed in asymmetric red and white leather. The single blue stripe over white is a deliberate quotation of the 1960s NART and Le Mans cars that earned Ferrari its American reputation, while the carved black wheels and red calipers seen here keep it firmly contemporary. This is a car built for ten people who already owned everything else.

The model captures the difficult parts well: the cut-down screens, the twin headrest fairings and the script badge on the tail, all set off by the pearl white and that crisp cobalt centre line. It is built at 1:18 on a presentation base.
