When Ferrari replaced the 348 with the F355 in 1994, the name itself told the story: 3.5 litres, 5 valves per cylinder. That last figure was the breakthrough, a five-valve head feeding a flat-plane V8 that spun to 8,500rpm and made 375bhp, paired with a flat underbody borrowed from Formula 1 thinking. The Berlinetta is the purest of the body styles, its fixed roofline flowing into the twin-buttress tail seen here, with pop-up headlamps at the front and quad tail-lights set above twin exhaust pairs. It is the car widely credited with restoring Ferrari's mid-engined confidence in the 1990s, the one a generation pinned to the wall and the one that still drives like the last analogue Ferrari before electronics took over.
The model wears Rosso Corsa, the works racing red, laid over the F355's long clamshell bonnet and read against the five-spoke wheels and the side intakes ahead of the rear arches. Detailing runs to the Cavallino shields, the F355 Berlinetta script on the engine cover, and the fine grilles over the lights. It is built at 1:18 and sits on a leather-topped plinth.
