Ferrari 458 Italia GT3, Rosso

The 458 Italia GT3 was Ferrari's customer-racing answer to the GT3 category, built around the 4.5-litre flat-plane V8 of the road car but reworked for endurance and sprint grids by Michelotto. The intent is plain in the bodywork: the deep front splitter and brake-cooling ducts, the flared arches over centre-lock wheels, the swan-neck rear wing and the stripped, caged cockpit glimpsed through the side glass. It was a fixture of GT3 paddocks worldwide for years, a car bought by privateers and pro teams alike because it was fast, durable and forgiving at the limit.

This example is finished in a clean Rosso race red, set off by gold multi-spoke wheels on Avon slicks and the black carbon of the wing and diffuser. It is built at 1:18 on a lacquered red presentation base, the proportions and aero details held with the precision the original demanded.
