The 296 GT3 raced for the first time at the Daytona 24 Hours in January 2023, six months after Ferrari had shown it in the Spa paddock, and it did not take long to start winning. In May 2023 it won the Nürburgring 24 Hours, covering a record 162 laps. In January 2024 Risi Competizione took the GTD Pro class at Daytona with one, and in 2025 a 296 GT3 won the LMGT3 class at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. Under the bodywork it is a different machine from the road car: no hybrid system, a longer wheelbase, and a twin-turbo V6 with the turbochargers inside its 120 degree vee, giving around 447 kW.

This one is finished in a deep metallic red, darker than a solid racing red and turning bright cherry where the light runs over the front wings and roof. The rear quarters and tail are matt black, joined to the red by a fade of fine stripes, with 296GT3 on the flanks, the prancing horse shield on the front wings and Ferrari across the screen. At the front are the long bonnet vents, slim headlamps, dive planes and a carbon splitter; at the back, two round exhausts set in a black mesh panel, the deep diffuser and the swan-neck wing on its tall mounts, over black centre-lock wheels on Pirelli P Zero tyres. The plaque on the carbon-pattern base gives the edition as 30 pieces. VMB builds it at 1:18.
