Chassis 09051 was the sixth of the twelve 275 GTB/Cs Ferrari built for 1966. It was delivered in June 1966 in Argento Metallizzato with a black interior to Renzo Sinibaldi of Rome, and on 17 July he ran it as #98 in the 500 km of Mugello, a road race in the hills of Tuscany, winning his GT class. Sinibaldi and the car's next owner, Alberto Federici, raced it on Italian circuits and hillclimbs until 1970, collecting a long run of class wins, and Federici also entered it in the 1969 Targa Florio. After years in British and American collections, it sold at Gooding & Company's Pebble Beach auction in 2017 for $14.52 million.
The model shows the car in its Mugello livery: silver with #98 roundels and the plate 656 Roma, on Borrani wire wheels. Built from 1,459 parts, it has a bonnet that lifts on a self-locking stay to the V12, with its three twin-choke Webers and piping, doors with opening quarter-lights, and a boot with a removable spare wheel and the fuel filler. The cockpit carries a roll bar, a fire extinguisher, belts and a Nardi three-spoke wheel, the oil filler flap on the right front wing opens, and twin-outlet exhausts finish in chromed tailpipes. CMC builds it at 1:18 as a hand-assembled metal precision model, in a limited edition of 1,000.
