Chassis 3757GT was delivered on 14 June 1962 to Jacques Swaters' Ecurie Francorchamps in Belgium, and nine days later it was on the grid at Le Mans. Entered by Equipe Nationale Belge for the pseudonymous pair “Beurlys” (Jean Blaton) and “Eldé” (Léon Dernier), it finished the 1962 24 Hours third overall and second in the GT category, behind the Noblet and Guichet GTO, so that 250 GTOs filled second and third places behind the winning Ferrari of Phil Hill and Olivier Gendebien. The car went on to the Tour de France and a long run of Belgian hillclimbs before Peter Clarke took it to Britain in 1964. Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason bought it in the late 1970s, and it has remained in his hands since.

The model shows the car as it was raced at the Sarthe: red, with white #22 roundels and a yellow band across the tail in Belgium's racing colour. The bonnet lifts on its stay to the V12 and its six twin-choke Webers, the doors have sliding windows and the boot opens to a spare wheel. The left-hand-drive cockpit is trimmed in black, with harnesses, a wood-rimmed wheel and a full dashboard, and the Borrani wire wheels carry removable centre-lock nuts. CMC builds it at 1:18 as a hand-assembled metal precision model, in a limited edition of 2,200.
