Chassis 4219GT was sold through Luigi Chinetti in February 1963 to Mamie Spears Reynolds, the young daughter of the former North Carolina senator Robert Reynolds, who had come to New York to buy a car for the Daytona Continental. That same month Pedro Rodriguez drove it, as #18, to outright victory in the Daytona three-hour race, ahead of Roger Penske's GTO. Joakim Bonnier shared it at Sebring in March, and under its next owner, Beverly Spencer, Frank Crane finished second overall with it at Laguna Seca in June 1963. In 1964 George Dyer bought the car and had it painted dark blue, the colour it has worn since, and Brandon Wang has owned it from 1993.
CMC shows the car as it appeared at the Monterey Historic Races at Laguna Seca in 2004, still carrying #18: dark blue paint, Scuderia Ferrari shields and a blue interior. Built from 1,841 parts, the left-hand-drive model has a bonnet on a stay with quick-release catches and a leather strap, doors with sliding windows, a boot with a spare wheel and a flip-open fuel filler. The V12 is plumbed and wired, the cockpit carries a roll cage, belts, leather-trimmed textile seats and a wood-rimmed wheel, and the stainless-steel undertray can be removed. CMC builds it at 1:18 as a hand-assembled metal precision model, in a limited edition of 2,200.
