Charles Pozzi, born in Paris in 1909, raced in one Formula One World Championship Grand Prix, in 1950. After retiring he founded Charles Pozzi S.A., the official importer of Ferrari and Maserati cars in France, which Ferrari bought in 2003, and Ferrari's dark blue paint Blu Pozzi is named after him. At Le Mans in 1972 his team, Automobiles Charles Pozzi, entered a Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona as number 39 for Claude Ballot-Léna and Jean-Claude Andruet. It finished fifth overall, the first GT car home, winning the GTS 5.0 class and the Index of Thermal Efficiency.

BBR dresses the 12Cilindri in tribute colours: blue over the nose and front wings, white through the doors and roof, red over the rear, with a yellow band along the sills carrying CHARLES POZZI in black. A 39 roundel sits on each door and on the bonnet, a yellow Charles Pozzi banner runs across the nose and along the rear spoiler, and a small Charles Pozzi logo sits on the front wing. The rear plate reads CHARLES POZZI PARIS. The wheels are gloss black five-spoke designs, and the car stands on a black base with a carbon-pattern top. BBR builds it at 1:18.
