America's full-size flagship leans on presence rather than restraint: a tall slab grille flanked by vertical stacked light blades, a wheelbase of just over three metres and the crest worn like a coat of arms. This is the fifth-generation truck in its V8 form (the 600 on the tailgate is Cadillac's torque badge, in newton metres rounded to the nearest 50), built less for the driver than for whoever is being driven, the SUV that carries executives and entourages with equal authority and a kerbside theatre few rivals attempt.

The casting holds the long flanks flat and true, with chrome window surrounds, polished multi-spoke wheels and the deep gloss-black paint reading wet under light against a red-edged display base. It is built at 1:18.
