Bugatti unveiled the W16 Mistral at The Quail during Monterey Car Week on 19 August 2022, calling it the last road car to use the W16, and all 99 were sold at five million euros each before deliveries began. The debut car was a warm black with yellow accents, a nod to the black and yellow Ettore Bugatti chose for his own cars, the Type 41 Royale among them, and to the 1934 Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid that now stands in the Louwman Museum in The Hague. The Grand Raid's V-shaped windscreen inspired the Mistral's visor screen, and the gear lever carries Rembrandt Bugatti's dancing elephant, the sculpture that once sat on the Royale's bonnet. The engine is the 1,600 PS version of the quad-turbo W16.
This piece follows that debut scheme closely: gloss black paint over bare carbon on the sills, splitter and diffuser, yellow seats and yellow brake calipers behind the multi-spoke wheels, and a small tricolore on each sill. The X-shaped rear lights frame the Bugatti lettering, with the Mistral script below and the single central exhaust under it. It sits on a navy leather base with pale blue stitching and a Mistral nameplate. MR Collection builds it in resin at 1:18.
