Bugatti Divo with W16 Engine, Bright Blue

Almost everything that separates the Divo from the Chiron is aerodynamic, and almost all of it can be read from the outside. Bugatti's engineers found 90 kg more downforce, 456 kg in all, by reshaping the front spoiler, cutting air inlets into the bonnet to reduce frontal area, adding a NACA duct in the roof that works with the engine cover to drive a high mass of air through the engine bay, and fitting a rear wing 1.83 metres wide (23 per cent wider than the Chiron's) that doubles as an air brake. At the back, a new diffuser makes room for four tailpipes. Named for Albert Divo, twice a Targa Florio winner for Bugatti, it was built just forty times.

This car is finished in a vivid, glossy mid blue over exposed black carbon at the splitter, sills, lower doors and diffuser, with a silver-grey stripe up the bonnet and the tricolore on the sill. The wing, the roof duct and the slatted tail lamps are held crisply to scale. On the shared carbon base, a separate model of the W16 stands on two silver pegs beside the car, built with its gearbox, turbochargers and the heat-shielded exhaust manifolds the bodywork otherwise conceals.
