Bugatti revealed the Bolide online on 28 October 2020 as an experimental study: the 8.0-litre quad-turbo W16 wrapped in as little bodywork as possible and built for the track alone. The study weighed 1,240 kg and, on racing fuel, made more than 1,800 hp. In August 2021, at The Quail in California, Bugatti confirmed a production run of 40 cars at four million euros each, and the finished version, with 1,600 PS on 98-octane fuel and a kerb weight of 1,450 kg, was shown in April 2023. Deliveries began in early 2024.
MR Collection's Full Carbon Matt version has no paint at all: every panel is left in matt carbon weave, so the shape shows only in how the light falls across it. The white X-shaped lamps and the small horseshoe grille stand out at the front, the roof scoop and its central fin lead back to the high wing, and closed covers with red centres fill the wheels. A French tricolour sits on each flank behind the front wheels, with a roundel by the cockpit and Michelin lettering in blue on the tyres. Four exhausts are grouped in the centre of the tail. The car stands on a navy base stitched in pale blue, with the Bolide script at the front and the EB badge at the back. MR Collection builds it at 1:18, in an edition of 149.
